All maneuver periods for both MODIS Terra and Aqua instruments are reviewed by LDOPE in detail for geolocation accuracy and overall data quality. In cases, where a geolocation shift or corrupt data is detected, LDOPE will notify MODAPS to hide or remove specific maneuver time periods of granules from L1B and downstream data production. These periods are also recorded on the Maneuver page for both Terra and Aqua. The sections below provide descriptions and links to detailed information regarding common data gap and outage issues observed and reviewed by LDOPE.

Data gaps due to poor geolocation accuracy and overall data quality during maneuver periods:
Information in these links lists all TERRA and AQUA maneuver dates and granules (Start / End times) where granules have been hidden due to poor geolocation accuracy or corrupt data.
Data loss due to contact errors:
These events occur throughout the missions and are reviewed on an individual basis for TERRA and AQUA as they occur.
In many cases, these and other types of data outages are not often recoverable and a note with detailed impacts on the data and events are posted in the known issues page that apply to all MODIS TERRA and AQUA land products.
The Semi-annual Night-time-day-mode calibration activity:
These are rolling notes for TERRA and AQUA that detail a routine calibration activity, which happens every six months and includes a portion of nighttime time data acquired in day mode and then a portion of day time data acquired in night mode. These nighttime day mode activities can sometimes be accompanied by instrument Roll Maneuver too.
