On February 2nd, 2019 (2020.033) a 5 second data gap occurred on Terra MODIS due to a contact error from 11:09:32z to 11:09:37z. Attempts to recover this data loss were unsuccessful. Processing has been closed and the data is not recoverable. Below is an example image form granule 11:05, which shows the data gap during a daytime orbit over Antarctica in the L1B geolocation and reflectance layers.
