An Aqua Lunar Deep Space Calibration (LDSC) maneuver occurred on 2021/266 (Sept 23, 2021) 09:12:28 - 09:52:25 UTC. The Cold Focal Plane Array (CFPA) temperatures take a long time to recover following such events and significant impacts on science data quality is expected. Thus, subsequent outage of science data is expected till FPA temperatures stabilize. Additionally, an NRT note has been posted, which shows the significant impacts observed in the NRT products during this event.

The instrument calibration team has confirmed that the nominal science data quality was restored for MODIS Aqua starting on 2021267:1800 (09.24.21). Due to this event, MODAPS will hide all science data between 2021266:08:50 (slew out time) through 2021267:1800 (science data quality restored). The images below show Aqua C6 L1B and the data gap from this event on DOY 266 and 267.
