Land Product Filename Convention
The Land products are stored in an enhanced Hierarchical Data Format (HDF-EOS) with the following filename convention:

Land Level 2 products
- ESDT = Earth Science Data Type name (e.g., MOD14)
- YYYYDDD = MODIS acquisition year and Julian day
- HHMM = MODIS acquisition UTC time
- CCC = Collection number
- YYYYDDDHHMMSS = Processing Year, Julian day and UTC Time
- hdf = Suffix denoting HDF file

Land Level 2G, 3 and 4 products

- ESDT = Earth Science Data Type name (e.g., MOD14A1)
- YYYYDDD = MODIS acquisition year and Julian day
- hHH = Horizontal tile number (0-35)
- vVV = Vertical tile number (0-17)
- CCC = Collection number
- YYYYDDDHHMMSS = Processing Year, Julian day and UTC Time
- hdf = Suffix denoting HDF file
