Note
On June 28th, 2019 (2019.179) the Terra spacecraft experienced a Printed Wire Assembly (PWA) failure within the MISR instrument. After further investigation, it was determined that Super Sets 74 and 75 failed. To fix the anomaly, Super Sets 74 and 75 were removed from MISR and this process required temporarily disabling science recording of all buffers. This resulted in a small amount of data loss within the TERRA MODIS instrument between 179/21:08:03 - 179/21:15:09. This data is not recoverable. The data loss occurred during the end of a daytime orbit over the South Pacific Ocean and the Antarctic. Due to this data loss L1B granules 21:05, 21:10, and 21:15 are not produced for this period. The global browse image below shows the data loss over this region.
