Since February 22nd, 2022 (2022.053), an FMU/SSR anomaly began to affect Aqua MODIS in which 17-19 seconds of Aqua's high rate science data (MODIS/AIRS) is corrupted approximately every two orbits (roughly every 3 hours 28 minutes and 15 seconds 03:28:15). The images below shows this data gap for the daytime orbit, nighttime orbit, and a magnified view of this anomaly. The FOT is in the process of putting a plan of action together to address the corrupted sub-module, but before recovery takes place, the memory will suffer about seven losses per day or 133 seconds of high rate science data. The FOT successfully attempted an FMU/SSR reset today resulting in an NRT data outage from about 082/16:03z to 082/19:47z per MCST/IOT.
