A MODIS Aqua data loss occurred on 2018.004 (01.04.18) between the 04:45 and 04:50 granules. Several Aqua MODIS bands experienced a DCR change followed by several lost-packets and anomalous scans in the 2018.004.0445 granule. Additional artifacts are also observed in the 2018.004.0450 granule. This occurred during a daytime orbit over the antarctic and impacted a number of scans in both the reflective and emissive bands. Below are some example images showing the various impacts from this event.
